The Mission
Love God. Love People. Serve the Community.
At Calvary ATX, our mission flows from the greatest commandment Jesus gave. We exist to love God with our whole heart by worshiping Him, studying His Word, and growing in obedience. We love people by walking together in authentic Christian community, encouraging one another, and making disciples who follow Jesus in everyday life. We serve the community by sharing the gospel and meeting practical needs, starting right here in Austin and extending wherever God leads.
Everything we do is rooted in Scripture, centered on Jesus Christ, and dependent on the work of the Holy Spirit. Our desire is not to build programs, but to see lives transformed by the Word of God and the love of Christ.
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Matthew 22:37–39

The Vision
Our vision is to make Jesus known in the heart of Austin, other urban communities, and the world.
We desire to see men, women, and families come to know Jesus Christ personally, grow in their understanding of God’s Word, and live out their faith where God has placed them. We envision a church that is grounded in Scripture, marked by grace and truth, and actively engaged in the city it serves. A church where disciples are made, believers are strengthened, and the gospel is shared faithfully across cultures and generations.
As God establishes His work among us, our prayer is that Calvary ATX would continue to be a place where people encounter Jesus, experience biblical community, and are equipped to follow Him with their whole lives.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19–20
